GREEN LASER BAN------------------------------------------x
Due to recent national events, it has become necessary for the Southern Cross Astronomical Society of Miami, Florida, to completely ban the use of green laser pointers at SCAS sponsored events. EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY (January 2005) any use of such devices (hand-held or attached) at SCAS Star Parties, the Winter Star Party, or any other SCAS public event SHALL BE PROHIBITED. Violation of this restriction will result in the immediate expulsion of the offending party from the SCAS event.

SADOWSKI PARK & NATURE CENTER

Members of the Southern Cross Astronomical Society will make available their "Hi-Tech" astronomical equipment arranged on their "Telescope Deck" to show you the spring and early s constellations. You will possibly see planets in our solar system, star clusters, galaxies, multiple star systems, nebulas, and more!

Members of SCAS can also give you some sound advice on purchasing a telescope and help you setup, adjust and operate your own telescope.

Bring your family, snacks, chairs and bug repellent to the Serene Nature Center, Bill Sadowski Park, SW 176th Street at SW 79th Avenue at 8 PM.

Please remember - No car lights, lasers, white light flashlights, litter, loud noise, alcohol or pets in the nature preserve.
